The Between Paths Podcast: Coming in from the Cold
A sanctuary for those navigating the messy, beautiful, and often overwhelming journey of personal discovery.
The Between Paths Podcast is currently in creation. It will bring together real conversations about trust, boundaries, bad therapy, self-awareness, journaling, and the ways people try to make sense of their lives.
This podcast isn’t about “perfect” wellbeing or corporate productivity. It’s about the real stuff.
What we’ll explore together:
Who it is for
- Therapy, relationships, journaling, music, reflection, and the grey areas people often live in
- People trying to understand themselves, recover their voice, and find steadier ground
What’s coming
- Episodes, reflections, guest stories, and practical resources
If you’ve ever felt like you were on the outside looking in, or if you’re looking for a grounded, human perspective on mental health without the jargon, you are welcome here.
Chipping away, one episode at a time.
I’ll be honest I’m still finding my way with this medium. There is a lot of anxiety in the planning, and sometimes “too many choices” feels like its own form of avoidance. But I am heading in the right direction.
Episodes are currently in development.

Founder & Creator

Adrian has over 20 years of experience in therapy and a passion for helping others grow.
Hi, I’m Adrian and this podcast is a space where I speak honestly about the world of therapy, life’s curveballs, and what it means to find your way when things don’t go as planned. I’ve worked as a therapist for over 20 years, starting out in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, eventually becoming one of the first to run a full-time online therapy practice. But along the way, I’ve seen things that left me disillusioned with the therapy world and also more determined than ever to speak out.
This podcast is part personal reflection, part educational resource, and part invitation. It’s a place for people who are curious about therapy, have had bad experiences, want to know how to protect themselves or simply want to explore tools like journaling, mindfulness, and meditation in a way that respects individuality.
Why This? Why Now?
Like many, I lost my therapy practice during the pandemic. Starting over wasn’t easy. I found myself outside of the therapy world, running into barriers like outdated qualifications and expensive retraining requirements. And I have often ended up questioning some of the systems that underpin modern therapy especially those that seem more about control than care. Not all therapy organisations are bad, of course, but there’s a tension there I can’t ignore.
Then, almost by accident, I ended up working in call handling a role I hadn’t expected but grew to deeply respect. It taught me even more about people, pressure, and how we speak to each other in moments of need. That experience combined with my years in therapy helped shape the idea for this podcast.

What to Expect
This isn’t a slick, polished production. I’m learning as I go, so expect a few rough edges. But it’s honest, and hopefully, helpful. at the start I’ll be talking about:
- How to recognise poor or even harmful therapy practices
- What good therapy should actually look and feel like
- Emotional tools and support options outside of traditional therapy
- Real-life reflections on compassion, mediation, and human messiness
- Hopefully some guests who would like to share their journey
There’ll also be discussions around meditation, journaling, and self-awareness practices but always with an eye on individuality. its easy to generalise but that often misses the mark. Because what works for one person might not work for another, and understanding that that’s okay.
Be Part of the Conversation
Whether you’ve had, terrible therapy, or are just curious about what support looks like beyond the textbook, this podcast is for you. And I’d love to hear from you. If you’ve got thoughts, stories, or feedback, please do share it’s what will shape the future of this space.
Thanks for being here. Let’s see where this goes.
