The Pressure Cooker
When what you hold in starts to build up inside
Start here
There’s nothing wrong with feeling anger.
It’s a natural response when something doesn’t feel fair, right, or acceptable.
But not all anger gets expressed.
Sometimes it gets held in.
Pushed down.
Ignored.
And when that happens, it doesn’t disappear.
It builds.
What’s going on
You’re holding things in.
Things you want to say.
Things that didn’t sit right.
Things you let pass.
At the time, it might feel easier not to say anything.
But it doesn’t go away.
It stays there, building under the surface.
How it tends to feel
- You feel irritated or snappy without a clear reason
- You hold onto things instead of saying them
- You feel resentment building toward others
- You seem calm on the outside but tense underneath
The cost
It builds pressure.
Small things start to feel bigger than they are.
Reactions become quicker, sharper, or harder to control.
Over time, this can leave you feeling tense or overwhelmed, because nothing is being released.
Your starting point
You don’t need to say everything.
You just need to start noticing:
👉 what you’re holding in
👉 what you didn’t say
👉 what’s building underneath

Closing
You don’t need to release everything at once.
Just start noticing what you keep inside.
