Listen to some of my original songs

This is where I share some of the songs I’ve written or, more truthfully, songs that came out of moments of reflection, lived experience, the stories people carry, and the kinds of things life leaves us trying to make sense of. But how can I talk about the therapeutic benefits of writing lyrics without doing it myself? So, here they are.

Some of them I wrote entirely on my own, usually starting with bits from my journal or things I couldn’t quite say out loud at the time. Others were created with a bit of help from AI, which I’ve found can be a surprisingly useful tool when you know what you want to say, but you’re not quite sure how to shape it into music.

The truth is, each of these songs came out of something real. A memory. A conversation. A feeling I didn’t yet have words for. Some came quickly. Others took time. But they all hold part of the journey I’ve been on, not just through my work, but as a person trying to make sense of life like anyone else.

If you take the time to listen, I hope something in them speaks to you. Maybe even something that gives you permission to tell your own story, in your own way.
